Sudigadu Movie review : Partially entertaining and mostly annoying
Ain’t a big star , ain’t a big director , ain’t a big producer . Yet film generated enough publicity and curiosity among the audience . Thanks to the charm of Allari Naresh , it wouldn’t be the same with any other hero . Trailers and teasers gave a buzz and no wonder people are so excited to watch it . A film made with a spoof of many Telugu films . Biggest release of his career and released amidst huge expectations . Let’s have a sneak peak into the story
Story :
Just like many telugu films , it opened with the birth of the hero ( Shiva ) in hospital . Due to an unexpected turn shiva is separated from their parents ( Allari naresh & Hema ) and forced to live along with his grand mother Kovai sarala without knowing who are his real parents . Story moves to the current date where Shiva has some out of the box powers and uses his strength for helping people . Often hang out with his few friends and abruptly falls for heroine on first sight and follows her constantly . With his superlative talent performs some tricks and makes heroine fall for him . Shiyaji shinde , a strict father initially rejects their love and accept later knowing he has become sheer rich . At the time of their marriage muhurat when questioned about his father , he is left unanswered . Humiliated hero , rambles to search his parents . On the other hand Jaya prakash reddy and his men are on hunt for Shiva for a reason and travels every place to find him . How Shiva finds his parents and what’s the relation between goon and hero forms the rest of the story .
On Screen :
Allari naresh kept his blood and sweat in the role . One cannot hesitate to appreciate the hard work done by him . He almost portrayed it effectively and every big hero glimpse is seen in his character . Truly , he deserves a big applause . Heroine was only used on account of songs . She had nothing much to do in the film . She looked pale and her acting is immature , unconvincing and void . She neither contributed much in terms of beauty and her expressions are terrible . A better heroine would have made a tons of difference . M.S. Narayana , Kondavalasa and L.B Sriram as friends brought few laughs . Kovai sarala as hero grand mother is apt . Jaya Prakash reddy suited to the role . Krishna bhagawan was wasted . Brahmanandam was utter ridiculous .All the remaining characters filled their roles and not worthy enough to consider .
Off Sceen :
Director did a decent job in the first half and a horrendous work in second half . He should have taken a little extra care in etching the second half . Made many spoofs in the first half and tried to exploit the story in the second half , which he failed big time . Thumbs down Bheemineni , this is not we are in for . Music director is an another setback for the film . Every song in the film looked loathsome and the monstrous back ground score is an another pain to the viewer . Songs are neither funny nor interesting . Cinematography is good and art department work is admirable . Dialogues are good and tickle . Production values and editing are nice .
My Opinion :
No matter , what kind of film you do . The basic necessary thing is story and you don’t find it at all in the movie . This is not the stuff i was expecting . I walked into theater with lot of hopes and director was okay till the pre – interval episode . Then the real drama started which was appalling and lifeless . First hour of the film was going at a good pace and an unconvincing interval ruined everything . Second half was very long and went on like a never ending drama . A chewing gum would be much lesser elastic than the awful second half . There are some unwanted scenes which makes an audience feel ‘ what the hell does this scene had to do with the film ? ‘. It was like watching a 5 – day long test match . Director took an off- beat subject , though a remake – he failed to hit the target . What’s more difficult is one can’t sit through the movie just by watching some spoofs with a soulless story . Allari naresh was wonderful in his shoes . He literally carried the film on his shoulders and made the film much enjoyable . It would have been a nightmare without him . A three big cheers to him . Heroine is a worst pick . I couldn’t figure whether she was sleeping or acting in the film . She had that evil expression on her face which even scares a 60 year old man .
Verdict :
This film had some nice laughable moments in the initial first half . It will be appealed to the kind of audience who just seek entertainment , and doesn’t care of whatsoever bullshit happening on the screen . Hard core movie buffs might also partially entertained . Nothing for the family audience and kids . And folks who would like to see a complete entertaining movie would be severely let down .
