Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu Movie Review:utter Disappointment for the seaosn

Seethama Vakitlo Serimale Chetu (svsc) is the most awaited movie  of this season,promoted well, Hyped as 1st MultiStarrer movies and 2nd Biggest Sankranthi Release for this year starring Mahesh Babu,Venkatesh,Samantha Prabhu,Anjali,Prakash Raaj,Ahuthi Prasad, Jayasudhaand many more,

Lets see how the movie faired……

Story:

Its about two brother(names were not mentioned) referred as Pedodu and Chinodu,Pedhodu(Venkatesh) is having lot of self respect and individuality,though is jobless,Chinodu(Mahesh) is very diplomatic and puts a fake smile for everything,Anjali is Venkatesh sis in law brought up in the same household and is very near to Venaktesh,Abhinaya sister of Venakteh and Mahesh gets married to a match set up by Rao Ramesh(Uncle of Anjali) and father of Samantha,he is rich and irks Venkatesh calling him Jobless,and lack of maturity,Venkatesh and Mahesh get difference’s due to this,the movie goes round and round over these petty differences,Anjali is not given to Venkatesh as he is jobless and at last the egos get sorted out after a accident  at Badrachalam,Prakash Raaj ends up their Clashes with a good message at the climax,Venkatesh is Married to Anjali.

Performances:

Mahesh tries speaking Godavari Accent,but speaking Godavari accent doesnt mean adding “endi ra babu” “evadra babu’ “nuvu ra ra babu” to each and every sentence spken,anyways he did fine,was charming,had good scenes and played the emotional part well.He looks handsome and adds humor for the movie (at the start)

Venkatesh was good as-usual but except for emotional scenes and songs he was dull for most of the movie,his chemistry with Anjali was good.

Venkatesh and Mahesh were given equal importance,Samantha Prabhu was good,had her presence felt,Anjali playing the title Character Seetha reminds us of Soundarya and Sneha,She did good and played the emotional part well.

Prakash Raaj had a meaty role and has executed it well,Jayasudha did fine as the mother and ideal household wife,Rao Ramesh was great,Tanikilli Bharni was good  and had a character similar to naradha,Ravi Babu had a small role.

Techinical Departments:

Music was great,BGM was good,and the songs were well shot and picturized, Cinematography was fab,but the director could’t handle his part well,he couldn’t convey what he wanted,the brothers ego was the main part of the movie and their differences were not shown worthy,anyways Srikanth Addala director’s intention in making the film can be clearly seen in Prakash Raj’s character! but the movie was lengthy,boring and lack of comedy and entertainment made it worse.

Analysis:

SVSC is a great disappointment, projected as family movie,commercial elements can be omitted but the Families too wont like the movie as the content is too weak and lengthy and  the director failed miserably in bringing out the best of the cast(climax was exceptional),feel and soul of the movie is misfired,there is no good emotional scenes it had promised. Mahesh and Venkatesh were good as brothers but both faced each-other without a emotion for most of the movie(cinema antha edaru edmoham-peda moham petkuni kurchunaru)

Verdict:

A big thumbs down,can do average business just for season and given a big star cast,only to see audience feeling robbed away watching the movie.
